Pricing and Models
The Orbiter V1 is priced at ₹49,999 when purchased under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Without this model, the scooter’s price rises to ₹84,500, reflecting the growing trend of subscription-based services in the electric vehicle market.
Specifications
Equipped with a 1.8 kWh battery, the Orbiter V1 boasts a certified IDC range of 86 km per charge. Charging from 0 to 80% takes approximately two hours and 20 minutes, making it a practical option for daily commuting.
Storage and Features
In addition to its performance, the scooter features a 34-litre under-seat storage capacity, which enhances its utility for urban riders. The Orbiter V1 also includes a coloured LCD instrument cluster and a companion mobile app for connectivity, catering to tech-savvy consumers.
Safety and Security
Safety is a priority with the Orbiter V1, which includes alerts for crashes, falls, theft, geo-fencing, and time-fencing, ensuring that riders feel secure while using the vehicle.
Battery Subscription Model
The BaaS model allows customers to subscribe to battery usage instead of making an upfront payment, with monthly plans starting at ₹862. This approach aims to lower the initial financial barrier for potential buyers.
The launch comes at a time when India’s electric two-wheeler market is experiencing rapid growth, driven by increasing environmental awareness and government incentives for electric vehicles.
