2027 Honda City Facelift Spotted Testing in India

The Honda City has long been a beloved choice among Indian drivers, known for its reliability and style. As the automotive landscape evolves, the need for manufacturers to refresh their models becomes essential. The 2027 Honda City facelift aims to keep the current model appealing until the next-generation version arrives in 2028.

Recently, the 2027 Honda City facelift was spotted testing in Brazil, generating excitement among car enthusiasts and potential buyers. This mid-cycle refresh is expected to launch in India before Diwali 2026, aligning with the festive season when many consumers look to purchase new vehicles.

Key updates in the facelift include a revised grille, new bumpers, and updated headlamps, all designed to enhance the vehicle’s aesthetic appeal. The engine lineup will remain unchanged, featuring a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that produces around 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque.

In terms of pricing, the facelift is anticipated to start around ₹12 lakh, with the hybrid variant expected to be priced between ₹18–20 lakh. These adjustments reflect the ongoing trend of increasing vehicle costs while still offering value to consumers.

Inside, the updated model will boast an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Level 2 ADAS, showcasing Honda’s commitment to integrating modern technology into their vehicles. Mileage figures are expected to remain similar to the current model, with the petrol manual variant delivering around 17–18 kmpl.

Moreover, the updated Honda City will comply with E20 fuel compatibility and BS6 emission norms, ensuring it meets the latest environmental standards. The Brazilian version is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2026, setting the stage for its Indian counterpart.

As the launch date approaches, car enthusiasts and potential buyers are eager to see how the facelift will compete against rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus. Details remain unconfirmed regarding specific feature additions, but the anticipation continues to build.

With the 2027 Honda City facelift, Honda aims to maintain its strong presence in the compact sedan segment, appealing to both new buyers and loyal customers alike.
