Initially, visas got rejected, and we thought our dreams would be shattered,” he remarked, highlighting the determination of the team to overcome obstacles. Funding for the trip has also been a significant challenge, with the team raising 45 lakhs through crowdfunding and taking personal loans amounting to 2 crores. Bajaj expressed hope that an additional 15 lakhs could be raised to support the team’s journey. “These tournaments are about the whole Indian dream,” said Tony Huidrom, emphasizing the broader significance of their participation.
