Mary Lou was born on October 28, 1934, in Fort Loudon, PA. She was a devoted wife to Coey W. Fritz, whom she married on May 24, 1953. Together, they faced life’s challenges, including the tragic loss of their only child, Coey William “Will” Fritz II, in 1980. Coey W. Fritz passed away in 2011, leaving Mary Lou to cherish their memories and the love they shared.
Mary Lou’s professional journey included significant roles in the accounting departments of Fairchild, York Telephone Co., Anvil Products, and Beck Manufacturing Co., where she ultimately retired. Her dedication to her work was matched by her commitment to her community, as she was an active member of both Fort Loudon United Church of Christ and St. Paul United Methodist Church.
For the past seven years, Mary Lou was a resident of Menno Haven, where she continued to engage with her community. She was known for her love of walking, practicing the organ, and spending winters in Arizona, where she enjoyed the warmth and sunshine.
