Exit Polls Indicate Close Contest in West Bengal Elections

Exit polls indicate a competitive landscape in West Bengal, with the BJP and TMC in a close contest. The latest figures show the TMC-led alliance projected to secure between 118-138 seats, while the BJP is estimated to win 150-175 seats.

As the political atmosphere heats up, many are closely watching these developments. According to PMARQ, the TMC could secure between 118-138 seats. Meanwhile, Matrize projects 125-140 seats for the TMC+, suggesting a narrow margin.

The BJP’s projections are similarly varied, with estimates ranging from 146-161 seats according to Matrize. JVC’s analysis also indicates a potential for the BJP to claim between 138-159 seats.

In contrast, other states are showing different trends. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK-led coalition appears to be leading, while the United Democratic Front (UDF) is ahead in Kerala. The exit polls also suggest that the BJP-led NDA could achieve a clear majority in Assam and Puducherry.

Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is also gaining traction, as Axis My India indicates a surge in support for his party.

The exit polls were conducted after the second phase of voting concluded in West Bengal. Observers expect that these results will shape the final outcomes as votes are tallied and confirmed over the coming days.
