Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Celebrating Ram Navami 2026

What can we expect from the upcoming Ram Navami celebrations at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in 2026? With over 100,000 devotees anticipated to visit, the event promises to be a significant gathering of faith and community.

Ram Navami, celebrated on March 27, 2026, marks the birth of Lord Shri Ram, who is believed to have been born in Ayodhya to King Dashrath and Queen Kaushalya. This year, the temple trust has made arrangements to manage the expected heavy footfall by suspending VIP darshan and implementing specific time slots for devotees to visit the temple.

As part of the celebrations, the Surya Tilak ceremony will occur at exactly 12 PM, where the sun’s rays will illuminate the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol for about four minutes. This moment is highly anticipated and symbolizes divine blessings.

Devotees can participate in various ceremonies throughout the day, including the Mangal Aarti at 4:30 AM, Shringar Aarti at 6:30 AM, and Shayan Aarti at 9:30 PM. The temple and surrounding areas are being beautifully decorated with lights, flowers, saffron flags, rangoli, and earthen diyas to enhance the festive atmosphere.

To ensure everyone can partake in the celebrations, the temple will allow visits during designated time slots: from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Community leaders have emphasized the importance of unity during this sacred occasion. Mahant Sitaram Das stated, “Devotion to Lord Ram should rise above political positioning,” highlighting the need for collective faith. Iqbal Ansari echoed this sentiment, noting that “Ayodhya is a place of faith that connects people across communities.”

Digvijaya Singh, who has been a vocal supporter of the temple’s construction, mentioned, “I have never opposed the construction of the Ram Temple and had even contributed Rs 1.10 lakh towards it.” His presence at the event will be closely watched, as it raises questions about shifting political dynamics.

As preparations continue, Ayodhya is transforming into a vibrant hub of devotion, with screens installed across the city for live visuals of the ceremonies, ensuring that even those unable to visit the temple can partake in the celebrations.

With the date approaching, excitement is building, and the community is coming together to honor Lord Ram. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any last-minute changes to the arrangements, but the spirit of Ram Navami is sure to shine brightly in Ayodhya this year.
