UP Scholarship Update: Second Installment Release on March 18, 2026
Upcoming Release of Scholarship Funds
On March 18, 2026, the Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department will release the second installment of the UP Scholarship for the 2025–26 academic session. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to students from General, OBC, SC/ST, and minority communities, ensuring they can continue their education.
Students eligible for the Pre-Matric scholarship must have a family income below ₹1 lakh annually, while Post-Matric students must not exceed a family income of ₹2 lakh per year. For SC/ST students, the income limit is set at ₹2.5 lakh per year.
The scholarship funds will be transferred directly to the students’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. To facilitate this process, students must ensure their bank accounts are linked with Aadhaar.
As the release date approaches, students can check their application status on the official website, scholarship.up.gov.in. They can track their application by entering their registration number and date of birth.
Currently, if a student’s application status shows ‘Pending at District Scholarship Committee’, it indicates that verification is still ongoing. Conversely, a status of ‘Rejected’ suggests that there may be incorrect details or missing documents in the application.
For those whose status shows ‘Disbursed’, it confirms that the scholarship amount has been successfully transferred to their bank account. This transparency in the process is crucial for students relying on these funds to meet their academic expenses.
The UP Scholarship Scheme plays a vital role in supporting students’ educational pursuits, helping them manage part of their academic costs. As the release date nears, students are encouraged to stay informed and ensure their applications are in order.
Overall, the upcoming release of the second installment is significant for many students in Uttar Pradesh, as it directly impacts their ability to finance their education and pursue their academic goals.
