JEE Main 2026: 26 Candidates Achieve Perfect Scores

In a remarkable achievement, 26 candidates scored a perfect National Testing Agency (NTA) score in JEE (Main) 2026. This is an increase from last year when only 24 candidates reached this pinnacle.

Overall, more than 2,50,182 candidates qualified for the prestigious JEE (Advanced) examination. Among these qualifiers, 96,873 came from the general category.

Aarush Singhal from Chandigarh topped the second session of JEE Main with an expected raw score between 295 and 300 out of a possible 300. His success story resonates with many aspiring engineers across India.

This year’s results also highlighted a concerning trend: no female candidate achieved a perfect score. However, Telangana’s Mallavarapu Aasna stood out with an impressive percentile of 99.998—making her the highest-scoring female candidate.

The number of unique candidates registering for JEE (Main) reached an astonishing 16,04,854 this year. Out of these, approximately 15,38,468 appeared for the exam across both sessions.

Interestingly, among the perfect scorers this year, one candidate belongs to the general-EWS category and another to OBC-NCL. This diversity reflects the broad spectrum of talent present in India’s educational landscape.

JEE (Advanced) remains one of the toughest entrance examinations globally and serves as the sole gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The stakes are high for students aiming to secure their futures in engineering and technology fields.

As students celebrate their achievements and prepare for the next phase of their academic journeys, observers are keenly watching how these trends will evolve in future examinations. The increasing number of high scorers indicates a rising standard among test-takers.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding how institutions will respond to these results and what changes might be implemented in future testing formats or preparation strategies.
