IOCL Announces 2026 Apprentice Recruitment

The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 405 Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentice posts. This recruitment drive is significant as it aims to provide valuable apprenticeship opportunities across several states in India, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu.

The online application process commenced on March 11, 2026, and will remain open until March 26, 2026. Candidates interested in applying must meet specific eligibility criteria, including age restrictions and educational qualifications.

Applicants must be between 18 and 24 years of age as of February 28, 2026. For Technician Apprentice positions, candidates are required to possess a three-year full-time diploma in the relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of 50% marks for the general category and 45% for reserved categories.

Trade Apprentice candidates must have completed Matriculation along with a two-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT or SCVT. Graduate Apprentice candidates should hold a full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline, meeting the required minimum marks.

Additionally, Data Entry Operator candidates must have completed Class 12 and possess additional skill certification for the skilled category. The selection process for these positions will be based on merit, with no written examination or interview required.

The apprenticeship training period is set for 12 months, providing candidates with hands-on experience in their respective fields. It is important to note that candidates must apply through the NAPS or NATS portals only, ensuring a streamlined application process.

This recruitment initiative is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961, reflecting IOCL’s commitment to skill development and employment generation in the region.
