The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the results for the CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations held in January 2026. The announcement comes as a significant milestone for thousands of aspiring chartered accountants across the country.
Logapriya P P from Madurai has emerged as the top scorer in the CA Foundation exam, securing an All India Rank (AIR) 1 with an impressive score of 366 marks out of 400, achieving a percentage of 91.50%. Following closely is Khushi Sikaria from Midnapore, who attained AIR 2 with 365 marks, translating to 91.25%. Additionally, three candidates shared the third rank, each scoring 361 marks.
The overall pass percentage for the CA Foundation examination stood at 19.23%. A closer look at the gender-specific performance reveals that the pass percentage for male candidates was 20.13%, while female candidates had a pass percentage of 18.26%. These figures indicate a competitive landscape for students attempting to clear this foundational level of the Chartered Accountancy course.
In the CA Intermediate exam, Kanhiya Lal from Ellenabad topped the charts with a score of 508 marks out of 600, achieving 84.67%. Fathima Sheza K from Perintalmann secured the second position with 504 marks, equivalent to 84%, while Vanya Bansal from Faridabad claimed the third rank with 498 marks, achieving 83%.
The pass percentage for candidates clearing both groups in the CA Intermediate exam was notably low at 9.39%. When broken down further, the pass percentage for Group 1 was 13.96%, and for Group 2, it was slightly higher at 15.54%. These statistics reflect the challenges faced by candidates in this rigorous examination process.
