Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya were granted a divorce by the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai on March 11, 2026. The couple sought separation by mutual consent, with Motwani waiving any claims to alimony or streedhan.
Marriage and Separation
The couple married on December 4, 2022, at Mandota Fort in Jaipur, following a romantic proposal at the Eiffel Tower in Paris in November 2022. However, they lived together for a short period before realizing significant differences in their temperaments, opinions, and lifestyles.
Since July 2, 2024, the couple has been living apart, leading to the eventual decision to end their marriage. They did not have any children from the marriage.

Adnan Shaikh, representing Motwani, stated, “The divorce was granted by mutual consent after both parties acknowledged that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.” He further clarified, “It is pertinent to clarify that our client has made no claims whatsoever for alimony or maintenance, as her sole intention was to bring a dignified and peaceful closure to the marriage.”
Hansika Motwani began her career as a child artist with the television show Shaka Laka Boom Boom and gained popularity in South cinema, making her a well-known figure in the industry. Her wedding was documented in the Disney+ Hotstar show titled ‘Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama’, released in 2023.
The couple’s brief marriage has drawn attention, reflecting the complexities of relationships in the public eye. As they move forward separately, both parties aim for a peaceful resolution to their personal lives.
