The upcoming CUET UG 2026 exam will take place from May 11 to May 31, accommodating millions of candidates across India. This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has set specific shift timings and reporting instructions to streamline the process.
Previously, candidates faced uncertainty regarding the exam’s structure and scheduling. Many expected a single-day examination, but the NTA’s decision to extend it over multiple days marks a significant shift in approach.
This change means that students can better prepare for their exams, reducing pressure on any single day. The CUET will have two primary slots: Slot 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM and Slot 2 from 3:00 PM to 6:45 PM.
For those involved, this means adjusting their schedules accordingly. Candidates must arrive at the exam center two hours before the start time. Importantly, doors will close 30 minutes before each exam begins—ensuring that all candidates are settled before the test starts.
Additionally, provisions for candidates with disabilities (PwD) are noteworthy. They will receive an extra 20 minutes for every hour of the exam, which reflects a growing awareness of inclusivity in educational assessments.

The NTA has also deployed over 2 lakh personnel for effective management during these exams. This includes venues across 551 cities in India and even 14 cities abroad, showcasing the vast scale of this examination.
