Cbse board exams middle east class 10
Changes in CBSE Board Exams for Class 10 in the Middle East
Initially, students in the Middle East were preparing for the CBSE Class 10 board exams scheduled from March 7 to March 11, 2026. With around 44 lakh students expected to participate, the exams were set to commence on February 17, 2026. However, recent developments have led to significant changes in this plan.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the cancellation of the Class 10 exams that were originally scheduled for March 7 to March 11, 2026. Additionally, exams that were postponed on March 2, March 5, and March 6, 2026, have also been cancelled. This decision has been made in light of ongoing situational concerns in parts of the Middle East, particularly linked to the Iran–Israel conflict.
The cancellation affects students across several countries, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The board has stated that the safety and well-being of students and examination staff were the primary considerations in making this decision.
Furthermore, the Class 12 exam scheduled for March 7, 2026, has also been postponed. The board plans to review the situation on March 7, 2026, regarding exams planned from March 9, 2026, onwards. Students have been advised to remain in contact with their schools and monitor updates from authorized sources to avoid misinformation.
As a result of these cancellations, the mode of result declaration for Class 10 candidates will be communicated separately. The board has emphasized that these measures were taken after a thorough evaluation of prevailing conditions.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the revised schedules and result modalities, but further updates will be provided in subsequent communications. Students and parents are encouraged to stay informed as the situation evolves.
