Ashok kharat rupali chakankar: Ashok Kharat Case Update in Nashik, Maharashtra
The ongoing investigation into Ashok Kharat, a self-styled godman and astrologer in Nashik, Maharashtra, has revealed shocking details that have sent ripples through the community. Kharat, who has been accused of extortion and illegal activities related to black magic, is now facing serious allegations including multiple counts of rape and involvement in human sacrifice.
Recently, police filed two additional FIRs against Kharat, bringing the total number of rape allegations to several. The Nashik District Sessions Court has remanded him to five days of police custody as investigators delve deeper into his operations. The prosecution claims that Kharat is linked to five instances of human sacrifice, a claim that has raised alarm among local residents.
In a startling turn of events, authorities uncovered assets worth approximately ₹40 crore during the investigation, indicating a much larger network of illicit activities. Kharat’s extravagant lifestyle is further highlighted by his travels to 13 different countries, raising questions about the extent of his operations.
During the police search, a revolver, 21 cartridges, and ₹6 lakh in cash were recovered from Kharat’s possession. This discovery has intensified scrutiny on his activities, especially as many victims have reported experiencing nausea after consuming substances he provided.
Trupti Desai, a prominent activist, has been vocal about the case, stating, “Ashok Kharat is a pervert. This perversion is eating away at the fabric of Maharashtra.” She emphasized the need for justice, asserting, “If we commit a crime, we are taken into custody, so he should not be protected.”
Furthermore, a pen drive containing videos of Kharat’s victims has come to light, necessitating further investigation. Public Prosecutor Ajay Misar has also raised concerns, suggesting that Kharat could be involved in hunting deer for skin and musk, adding another layer to the disturbing allegations.
In court, Kharat denied any knowledge of snakes or tigers, claiming, “I have no knowledge of snakes or tigers, I am hearing it for the first time.” This statement has been met with skepticism given the evidence presented against him.
As the case progresses, the community remains on edge, with over 1,500 women reportedly having suffered injustices at Kharat’s hands. The implications of this case extend beyond legal ramifications, touching on broader societal issues of exploitation and trust.
Details remain unconfirmed as authorities continue their investigation, and further developments are expected in the coming days. The community is watching closely as justice for the victims hangs in the balance.
