Air India Jeddah Muscat Flights
Air India and Air India Express Continue Operations
“Air India and Air India Express will continue to operate their respective scheduled services to and from Jeddah and Muscat on 9 March 2026, as the airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman remain open,” a spokesperson confirmed. This announcement comes as both airlines navigate the complexities of air travel in the region, ensuring that essential connections remain available for travelers.
On March 9, 2026, Air India will operate one round-trip flight each from Delhi and Mumbai to Jeddah. Meanwhile, Air India Express will provide 14 flights to and from Muscat on the same day. The continuation of these services is crucial for many passengers who rely on these routes for travel between India and the Gulf region.
In addition to the scheduled services, Air India and Air India Express would operate a total of 32 ad-hoc non-scheduled flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 9, 2026, to assist in bringing stranded travelers home to India. This move highlights the airlines’ commitment to addressing the needs of those affected by recent travel disruptions.
Air India will also operate 10 non-scheduled flights to and from Dubai on the same day, further expanding its reach in the region. Additionally, Air India Express plans to operate non-scheduled flights to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al-Khaimah, providing more options for travelers.
Despite the ongoing challenges, more than 52,000 Indians traveled safely from the Gulf region to India between March 1-7, 2026. This significant movement underscores the demand for air travel and the importance of maintaining operational flights during this period.
Scheduled flights of Air India Express to and from Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait, and Riyadh are cancelled until March 13, while Air India’s scheduled flights to and from Dammam, Doha, and Riyadh remain cancelled until March 10. These cancellations reflect the evolving situation in the region and the airlines’ efforts to adapt to changing circumstances.
To support affected travelers, a dedicated special control room has been set up to monitor and respond to queries. The Government of India is continuously monitoring the evolving situation in West Asia and the Gulf region, especially concerning the welfare of Indian nationals who have been stranded there during transit or on short-duration visits.
As the situation develops, further updates on Air India Jeddah Muscat flights and other services are expected. The airlines remain committed to providing safe and reliable travel options for their passengers.
