The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) on Saturday morning performed raids at 4 areas in Jammu and Kashmir and arrested two individuals in The Resistance Entrance (TRF) conspiracy case.
The NIA recognized the arrested individuals as Muzamil Mushtaq Bhat of Khwaja Bagh, Fatehpora, Baramulla, and Fayaz Ahmad Khan of Warpora, Zachaldara, Kupwara.
A frontal outfit of proscribed terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), TRF is being probed for radicalising, motivating and recruiting youth of the erstwhile state, the NIA stated.
The raids have been carried out at Baramulla, Kupwara, Pulwama and Shopian districts.
“The arrests have been made in a case that pertains to actions of The Resistance Entrance, an offshoot of proscribed terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, and its self-styled commander Sajjad Gul, who has been actively radicalising, motivating and recruiting youth of J&Okay for indulging in violent actions within the UT and different elements of India,” an NIA spokesperson stated in an announcement.
He stated Gul, alongside along with his different affiliate commanders based mostly in Pakistan, have been recruiting people (over floor staff) to conduct reconnaissance of predetermined targets, coordinating and transporting arms/ammunition/explosives to assist the terrorists of LeT and TRF with the intention to launch assaults on the safety forces and execute focused killings.
The anti-terror company had registered the case on November 18, 2021, below the IPC and the UAPA.
